Diana Dinescu, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Diana Dinescu is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides evidence-based treatment primarily to children, adolescents, and families. She holds an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from University of Virginia. Dr. Dinescu completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where she received extensive training and experience in working with socioeconomically and culturally diverse populations, including military families. Dr. Dinescu is a trained mediator who has practiced in the Commonwealth of Virginia and takes a special interest in helping families to address conflict, enhance co-parenting, and learn behavior management techniques. Dr. Dinescu employs functional family therapy (FFT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to treat mood, anxiety, attention deficit and conduct disorders.
