Heidi Buckner is a Licensed School Psychologist with a wide variety of experience in cognitive assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Radford University in 1994, a Master of Science in School Psychology (M.S.) and an Education Specialist (Ed.S) in School Psychology from Radford University in 1997. She is an Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with over twenty years of experience working as a school psychologist within the public school setting.
During her years working within the public school system, she has gained experience working with students ranging in age from preschool to high school. She has extensive experience evaluating children and adolescents for special education services in the areas of Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, and Developmental Delays. She regularly consults with administrators, teachers, and parents to assist students in achieving their full potential. In addition, being a member of child study and eligibility teams for the duration of her career has enabled her to gain a thorough knowledge of special education law, including Section 504.
